Re: Am I weirding out for nothing? Sprint/TMobile - Fritz - 02-10-2021 many T-Mo stores are not "company" stores, they're franchises, not to be trusted from my experience. and I'd definitely call T-Mo customer service and report the incident as well as a letter to corporate. Nothing wakes people up like a paper trail. Re: Am I weirding out for nothing? Sprint/TMobile - fauch - 02-10-2021 There is no reason they would need an Apple ID. Switching a SIM involves removing the old one and inserting the new one. SOMETIMES you need to reboot the phone for it to work right. Anything else is on THEIR end. I would never give any technician my password. I know when I had my battery replaced at Microcenter they asked me to disable the passcode on the phone but they never asked me for it or anything else, and that is far more involved that swapping a SIM. Re: Am I weirding out for nothing? Sprint/TMobile - cbelt3 - 02-11-2021 Report it. Apple never asks for your password. Ever. No reputable company ever does. Those boys are running a scam, and have probably scammed a number of people. Report it to APPLE. Fraud department. They will land on that little shop like a ton of bricks. Re: Am I weirding out for nothing? Sprint/TMobile - testcase - 02-11-2021 Way back when, I had Sprint for two yeas (back in the "contract days"). I was VERY happy to dump them once my contract expired. FAR more trouble with a number of Sprint offices than anyone should have to deal with. |
