Those shields are forbidden because there's absolutely no seal of any kind to prevent things from getting in...or out.

I also have those (dewalt brand), but I think the full face shield is probably better, in my experience, because I've had stuff spray into my mouth while using aerosols.

I very seriously doubt it. Most of what I've read about these face shields is that they don't do jack as a preventative measure.
