A law degree is not a prerequisite; less than half the justices have had a law degree. The last one was Justice Stanley Reed, who served on the Court from 1938 to 1957.

Can someone explain for the rest of us how McConnell can keep Senate Repub’s united against increasing taxes on the wealthy and big corporations, increasing the minimum wage, and maintaining voting rights — all hugely popular — while Biden and Schumer can’t get senate Dem’s to unite for these?
