I've met him a few times at small events and book signings. His wife Treena passed not too long ago, BTW.
Get the video series from Jacques Pepin, that's basically months worth of cooking school.
(Also, buy Harold McGee's book on the science of cooking, which Brown totally ripped off (without credit) for his series.)
is that the series where jacques is teaching his daughter to cook?

I’ve been watching Jacque Pepin cook at home on YouTube during the pandemic. His kitchen looks like everyone else’s kitchen. He even uses McCormick paprika.

No, it's a very specific cooking video series to accompany his books La Technique and La Méthode. Well worth watching even if you have to drag out the vcr.

Fieri is a good guy... He's from my area, and went to high school here. He did a couple events at our local County Fair, and did a fundraiser for restaurant workers in 2020.
The Guy Fieri you see on tv is the "made for TV version".
