Re: leafy greens you eat - cbelt3 - 01-30-2022 No to Iceberg, Kale, Cilantro. Kids won’t eat collard greens but properly booked with bacon … oooohhh.. Re: leafy greens you eat - Ombligo - 01-30-2022 Collards are good, but I'm partial to Mustard Greens. I also really like Swiss Chard, just can't find it around here. But I'll take any of the leafy greens without complaint. Re: leafy greens you eat - Dennis S - 01-30-2022 Ombligo wrote: I had a mustard greens thread not long ago. They’re too hot for me although I’m going to try just a small amount in some collards. https://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,2700710,2700710#msg-2700710 Re: leafy greens you eat - PeterB - 01-30-2022 Really I'll eat any greens... cooked or uncooked. I'd disagree that kale isn't especially nutritious. The nutritional profile is pretty good, especially raw: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kale#Nutritional_value ... my personal faves: spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus. All of these I will eat steamed, with just a bit of drizzled olive oil, a touch of lemon juice, and a sprinkle of black pepper, and maybe a few slivered, toasted almonds. Re: leafy greens you eat - davester - 01-30-2022 I'll eat pretty much everything listed above as long as it is prepared properly. This goes especially for kale, brussel sprouts, chard, etc which can taste absolutely awful if not cooked well. Re: leafy greens you eat - Speedy - 01-30-2022 I like the cow to process my greens first. They are forced to eat corn and antibiotics. Re: leafy greens you eat - mrbigstuff - 01-31-2022 I eat them all! Cooked only, thank you, like god intended. |
