Re: Reuters: 'Fitch highlighted Jan. 6 insurrection in talks with Treasury ahead of US downgrade' - pdq - 08-03-2023 Manchin says it was Biden's fault. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.)...on Thursday called Fitch Ratings’ downgrade of the U.S. credit rating from AAA to AA+ a “historic failure of leadership by both political parties and the executive branch.” Tell me again why we must not tell Joe Manchin to take a hike? Re: Reuters: 'Fitch highlighted Jan. 6 insurrection in talks with Treasury ahead of US downgrade' - Acer - 08-03-2023 Um, last I checked we DID come to agreement between Biden and McCarthy, what, a MONTH ago already. Did he not get the tweet? IOW, the spending limit agreement just was an agreement to not spend more than that, but they can still demand to spend under the agreed limit. Smells like desperate BS to me but I'm pretty biased. |
