Re: Georgia judge dismisses six charges - pdq - 03-13-2024 "I just want to find 11,780 votes," he told Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger [on tape!]. So vague! Gosh, who knows what he was talking about. Snark aside, I’m not too surprised or dismayed by this. When you have a former president and a current candidate for the presidency, even when he’s guilty as hell, you bend over backwards to give the impression of neutrality. And Willis is allowed to refile charges with “greater specificity”. I hope she does. I also hope the judge will release his decision on Willis soon. Titillation aside, there’s zero evidence of conflict of interest (or even appearance of conflict of interest). I would hope the judge acknowledges that, and soon. Re: Georgia judge dismisses six charges - cbelt3 - 03-13-2024 Great strategy. Trump will publicly declare more evidence and new charges will be laid. I'm back at where I started. This should have been a federal charge against Trump for election interference. Let the state deal with the people who were given voter data in that small county, plus the officials who helped them. They've already gotten several guilty pleas on that. The feds have much deeper resources and frankly better attorneys. Speaking of attorneys, Trump has hired top notch people in Georgia, they are not playing. He is obviously taking the charges very seriously despite his rhetoric. The phone call thing is the linchpin of the case. Willis can strengthen and refile the indictments but that delays the trial even more. |
