Some old carpet with commercial double sided carpet tape. But the tape stickiness may end up being a problem if you go to sell the car.

That kydex idea looks interesting, too.

Forget the kydex, it’ll stink up your house really bad. Plus it’ll cool down before you get it to the car in time. It’s nasty stuff, you really don’t want to mess with it.

Much appreciated info! I finally got the spilled gas odor out and don't need something else to funk things up.Smile

I like the 3M film idea. That is remarkable stuff. But the door plastic looks textured, not smooth. Will that affect the 3M?

On second thought, just buy a can of spray paint from the dealer in the proper color and paint every year.

Do you have a Michael's or Joann craft store nearby? They sell vinyl by rolls or 12x12 sheets. I'd try one with a "chalkboard" finish, which only comes in black AFAIK. A matte finish would probably look nice as well and might come in a few more colors. Michael's will have more sheet options than Joann. Look in the Cricut aisle for either Orcal, brand, Siser brand or Cricut brand vinyl. Be sure to choose adhesive vs. heat-press vinyl. (Read the fine print!)

I do have a Michael's nearby. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Jeez, for $.99, it's certainly worth a try. This one (631) says it's removable, while the 651 says permanent.

You're welcome! Hope this either solves the problem or gives you a few more ideas on how to approach it. And it's a cheap experiment Wink
