Spouses of the veterans, at least in the National Cemetery where my dad is buried, can be buried there as well. Is it the same at Arlington?
One side of the headstone is Dad, and the other is Mom. Rather symbolic, since spouses often “stand behind” the veteran and allow them to do their jobs. Not side by side, but head to head.
