RE: Flags - RAMd®d - 07-04-2025

I wonder how many of these flags are made in the US.

It would be a small irony to find that so many MAGAts might be proudly flying flags not made in the US, but probably CN, and possibly other countries.

Or maybe that's 'owning CN'.

Not that I refuse to, I just don't fly a flag, feeling no requirement to display my patriotism.

It's not just a belief, it's what you do to support it.

My belief is flying a flag is fine, if that's what one wants to do.

MAGA being MAGA would expect these displays of patriotism that bear no relation to actual patriotism.

I do disapprove of using the American flag motif as apparel or other silly marketing ploy.

Thank you so very much, GGD. I did look there but I overlooked the image tags, I guess because it used a logo as an example.

PS: can you tell me how to stay logged in? I'm trying to find this stuff myself, I really am, but I seem to be flummoxed all the time.

I haven't experienced any issues with staying logged in, pretty much behaving the same as the old forum, it just keeps you logged in until you explicitly log out.

This.

My flag is up (made in USA, by the way).  I fly it to support the country, NOT the current leaders.

Oh and on the subject of No Kings: I kept seeing the news media refer to it as the "so-called" No-Kings protest.  What exactly was "so-called" about it???

What else might one expect the MAGAt agitprop machine to call it? Mass tourism in city centers?

I wouldn't have been surprised if FauxNews called it "so-called", but it was some of the major news outlets that were doing it.  So basically they've caved to the Department of Alternative Facts...

Yep, it's "in their best interests" to do so - https://forums.macresource.com/showthread.php?tid=296728

RE: Flags - Don - 07-04-2025

I'm quite surprised I can't find any 12" x 18" stick flags with some variation of "No Kings" on them. Any that I've seen that are that size are designed to stand upright in some sort of frame, rather than stick in a mount like those nice cheap American flags (yes, that are probably made in China) that one can buy by the dozen.

On the other hand, I did see more than one option with a phrase I hadn't seen before.

Love that.  Well said

RE: Flags - Harbourmaster - 07-06-2025

"I pledge allegiance to the FLAG of the United States of America and TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS!

I fly my (made in USA) American Flag every day, weather permitting, on one side of my garage and on the other side flies my dark blue DODGERS flag.

"Political" flags are forbidden by the HOA, just like leaving your garbage can out in view of the street.
