You got an iLife' 08 for free because ... ?!! My three weeks old 2.33MHz MBP is but a 0.1Mhz less than yours .

iLife '08 was a freebie I assume. they software that they ship with a refurb isusually what shipped with it when it was new. If you buy a refurb that had 10.4.10 on it 10 days after 10.5 is released, Apple isn't required to give you 10.5. They MAY, but they never said they would.

Any private deal I work between another forum member on trades or sales is confidential unless we both agree otherwise. haikuman and I worked out a deal this spring for his G5 tower, and that was a private deal as well.

Just noticed this thread! Congrats! FWIW, I would NOT install iPhoto 08 unless you've got an 06 disc and you know you can remove 08 and put 06 on. Apple does occasionally remove features from iPhoto so it would suck if they removed the cheat button.
