AG, I had an identical experience at the BuyMore Store.

. . .depends on the place you live in. . .I did it twice in NY and both times were horrible. . .

1st time short line the 1st person took forever. . .then I was told to wait. . .so I did. . .I was the only person there and waited for 30 minutes, I went back up and she said she forgot about me. .. huh? I'm the only person there?

2nd time also waited forever due to the line then the person . ..I gave up. . .

I too have no need to wonder why retailers are not doing well.

I was in BB, returning some gifts because the Wii games that were bought for $49 at BB were $29 at Game Stop.

Anyway, they had Samsung BR players marked down to $149 from $349. hmmmm, already got the 71" DLP so let's see how these HD movies look.

They have Magnolia in the corner with all the big screens, but guess what? No HD-DVD or BR-DVD players hooked up.

They did have them in the regular part of the store, playing on end caps on 32 and 37" LCD's. I guess it was a little sharper, but hard to tell, especially when the HD player was on a $599 32" LCD that was bragging about it's HD 1366x768 resolution.
