Yup - which is why I said "So, it would seem that if THEY ever sent it to Apple to be worked on, Apple won't change the date for you. Can you get the serial #, call Apple and verify that it's never been sent in for work/support?" Re: Is this a good deal for a Macbook Pro? - AllGold - 02-10-2008 I think it's an ok deal IF Apple does in fact give you a one year warranty. However, Best Buy carries the power adapter so they should include a new one for that $1100 price. If they won't then look elsewhere because it's not that spectacular of a deal. Make sure everything works. Wifi, Bluetooth, all the ports, all the keys, etc. Oh, and especially the optical drive. I think you can request replacement system install DVDs from Apple but I'm not sure how the procedure works. Re: Is this a good deal for a Macbook Pro? - Blankity Blank - 02-11-2008 Purchased and returned *several* times in the space of two years? No accessories whatsoever? AND physical damage to the case? I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pool for $1,100. $500 maybe, but not for over a thousand bucks. Far too many red flags. |
