[quote wurm][quote Zoidberg]The world makes a lot more sense when you realize most people are stupid.
Thanks, Zoidberg. If I were the type to use a sig, I'd have just found it. Smile
Now that you mention it... you're right!

Wurm called it... so if you want to use it, it's yours..

And of course, Zoidberg, if you object, I'll change it ..

:-)

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Oh, wait...

I'm actually surprised we don't get more. Our number definitely has the cadence of a pizza place or some other type of business. b/c the phone co. let me pick it, i picked an easy one to remember...that rolls off your tongue.

Some poor guy gave out the wrong number. His lawyer and social worker called my cell twice each somewhat urgent during the week before his newly set custody hearing for his kids. I did not get the messages until the hearing was over because I only bought the phone for emergencies and leave it turned off. Two weeks later his family called to wish him happy birthday. So neither his case worker, lawyer, or two sisters have a clue. One of the sisters left a message a month later, so she still has not figured it out.

For years my number was 1 digit different from a law firm & I used to get messages from guys in jail, talking about their upcoming cases, or a new basis for appeal.

At 1st I felt compelled to call the lawyer & relay the info but I soon got over that.

My company 800 number is 1 digit off from an elevator emergency company's number. I get between 2 and 6 wrong numbers a day. Even if they get my machine, which says, "This is Dennis. Please leave a message."

The only time I knocked myself out getting back to them was when Our Lady of Perpetual Something-or-other said they had 4 sisters stuck in the elevator.

You prayed for them ?

Since I have to pay to hear messages left on my cell phone, my "no answer" message says "I'm sorry, I'm not available. I do not retrieve messages, so, don't leave one. Please call back later"

I don't know if I have any messages because I wasn't kidding.

I do that with my home phone. It was 95% solicitors before and now it's 97% . . .
