They couldn't lower the price in the election runup if they didn't first spike it, could they?

Two days ago I saw a rig that'll haul that tanker.

You wanna get outta here, talk to me.

$3.99 in Smyrna, but only about half the stations have gas...

I was going to say...

When people start getting killed over gas; we'll know art imitates life and we're on the path Max was on.

But it's too late. It's already happening.

Do you think you're the only one that's suffered? We've all been through it in here. Be we haven't given up. We're still human beings, with dignity. But you, you're out there with the garbage. You're nothing.

Today's headline on A1:
Perdue: Ample fuel in the city

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue said Wednesday that there were shortages of gasoline in parts of metro Atlanta, and he called some of the panic “self-induced.”

“There is ample fuel in the city,” he said. “It’s not everywhere it needs to be, but we do not have a crisis in the sense that we don’t have fuel coming in.”

So that's my problem: I don't live in the city. Thank you, Governor of Atlanta!

They kill us, we kill them! Kill them! Kill them! Kill! Kill!

Be still my dog of war. I understand your pain. We've all lost someone we love. But we do it my way! We do it my way. Fear is our ally. The gasoline will be ours. Then you shall have your revenge.

What do you want, Mary? Do you want the moon? If you want it, I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down for you. Hey! That's a pretty good idea! I'll give you the moon, Mary.

Oh, so that's it, you lost your family? That makes you something special, does it?

Look, we had a deal. I show you the gas, and you let me go, right?

The arrangement was I wouldn't kill you.

After all I've done for you...

I reckon you got a bargain, didn't you?

I feel all warm and fuzzy to be among true fans.

Costco still is out of fuel, here in Wilmington, NC. The station across the street is down to $3.56.

Can I just say that you probably burned up enough gas on your little "cheap gas" search to pay the difference in price for the tank of gas that you did buy...

This is payback for 6 months ago when you folks had the cheap gas and were laughing at us West Coasters...

Ken, that's hindsight which I can't dispute. Here's how it played out.

I didn't have enough gas in the van to look around in it, but at the time didn't know about the lack of alternatives either. Choices are about knowing the alternatives. I've never before experienced a true, counties-wide gas shortage, and the shortages we had from Katrina were NOTHING compared to what we have now in Georgia.

Yes, if I'd known ahead of time I'd have to put 50 miles on the other car + pay more for the gas instead of just getting in line earlier, I would have.

Just walk away.
