Familiarity certainly breeds tolerance. According to your logic, every additional minute of "face time" Obama gets in red territory helps him, i.e. the boatload of advertising ought to pay off. At the risk of sounding like G'man or a pre World Series Red Sox fan, I'm dubious. It would be fun to look at it as a new phenomena, but I'd prefer to do that in the rear view mirror.
