Does this mean you've stopped blaming clinton?

Is this your blog? You're 14 years old?

The post is not worth consideration. You want to say, "Here's why doing thus-and-such is bad for the economy," I'd be delighted to read it. I'm always interested in finding out something new.

A sarcastic post, and which uses the subject line to point out that sarcasm is, in fact, sarcastic, is not worth devoting time to. (Responding to it, it seems, is.)

Actually, seeing "Liberals" is pretty much sufficient to dismiss this sort of thing.

The one part of the whole subprime equation that I never really understood, is where is Joe going to live after he walks away from the underwater loan/house? Shouldn't we be seeing an upswing in the demand for rentals, and then possibly demand for those foreclosed houses by those that want to become landlords to cash in on the increasing rental market?

Or are we going to see Joe going out and buying a cheap foreclosed house (possibly the one he just lost) at the new reduced prices? This is assuming that he can somehow get a loan.

Good question, GGD

Is there even independent confirmation that Obama is planning a 90 day foreclosure freeze? First I've heard.

However, if you really must play the finger-pointing game, then let's.

Fannie Mae, one of the roots of this crisis, was pressured by the Clinton (D-AK) administration to buy up more subprime mortgages from banks in packages known as "mortgage-backed securities". You can take a look at this scarily prophetic article for more information on his dangerous gamble.

Barney Frank (D-MA) said he wanted to "roll the dice" when it came to subsidized housing provided largely by Freddie and Fannie.

Maxine Walters (D-CA) said that "we do not have a crisis at Fannie Mac... or Fannie Mae..." as well as a bunch of other scary stuff. Like trying to prevent the regulator from getting into either mortgage giant.

Chris Dodd (D-CT) took the largest amount in campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie.

Gregory Meeks (D-NY) said that there was no problem with Freddie Mac.

Take a look at this video for some great clips of Congressional Democrats downplaying the issue, while Congressional Republicans begged for more regulation.

Landlord:

Yeah. He said it himself in the third debate.

OK, I got it.
Obama mentioned a 90 day freeze in October as part of a possible plan.

FYI here's the same thing from a Republican leader:
http://www.dsnews.com/view_story.cfm?id=3128

So, it seems the moratorium is to buy time to put a system in place by which lenders can (or are required to) find other options besides foreclosure.

One would have to believe Obama is of inferior mental capacity to think he would propose a 90-day moratorium on foreclosure proceedings as a stand-alone solution.

I can't wrap my brain around how anyone could think Obama is this much of an idiot, but apparently a lot of americans do.
