As I said in the previous post that Dennis S linked, I'm a heavy user. There is value in it for many people/companies.
When you get into being a heavy user, as I, most people opt for tools other than the website. I use TweetDeck http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/ and Tweetie on my iPhone. I have a few twitter accounts, including some that I help run for my clients.
