I'm not sure why (other than the obvious), but one of Portland, OR's long-held nicknames has been PDX.
What is the lens? Doesn't look all that sharp to me, but that could be jpeg compression.

When I looked at the pictures a second time, I recognized it as Portland, OR. I've been to Portland, ME, too, and your pics don't look much like I remember that Portland.

Get's kinda confusing. I could say: In a half hour, we're driving to ABQ to go shopping. Then later today, I'll drive back home to SFN. If it hadn't been so windy this weekend, we would have gone to LRU. Next weekend, I might go to LAM to see my parents. The fuzziness happened when he photoshopped out all the people on bikes.

On one of the bridges, I think Hawthorne, at the east end, there's a bike lane that briefly splits in two to let faster riders pass, just like in a mountain pass for cars and trucks. I didn;t photograph it because I figured it would be all over the web, but have never been able to find it.

Been searching, and I really don't think there's more to it than it being the airport code.

Canon 17-55 f/2.8 USM IS. Yeah, was hoping for a little more sharpness, although it could be I haven't found the sweet spot. Some are sharper than others - first outing with it.

Yup, Couch/Davis. First couple were from up on the Steele Bridge. I'll have to take a look at the bike lane on the Hawthorne. I don't recall the 'passing lane'. We do love our bicycles here.
