What are the Ferrite Cores on these cables, JDC?

Thanks for the advice!

Wags

Ferrite cores are the thick metal doughnuts at the end of cables. They reduce RF interference. (Like when the rap station comes through your telephone.
Until I put a RF filter on my phone line it was polka music every weekend morning.

WHiiP is right! I thought a 3 footer would do it from my player to the TV, they are almost on top of each other, and was ready to click the buy button when I measured it. With the ins and outs around and back of cabinets my tape measuring tape showed that I needed a 6 footer!
