I didn't expect this many responses. Thanks everyone.

Without entering the debate,

I think $150 would be a fair price between friends.

As long as you realize if you parted it out on LEM swap list you'd make more than $200. The dual processor goes for over $100 alone on eBay. I don't know why, it just does. And I've been getting $15 each for 256 meg ram chips on the swap list.

Also, selling old computers to friends and family at any price is a risky business. I got an email from an ex-friend of mine yesterday, expecting support for a blue & white G3 I sold her four years ago for some nominal sum. At this point, I wish I'd given it to her.

The Dual 1.0GHz Quicksilvers are one of the 2002 models, so yes.

I would say about $350. It's still a solid machine, can hold 5 750GB drives with a cheap bracket. The dual drive bracket on the bottom right also fits in the bottom left position. Still a very useful and reliable computer for many, many uses.

hmm, let's make that $300

sold! you pay for shipping, or come and get it, and you can have ours for $300; but no support after the sale, you're on your own in that department. oh, and you've got to supply your own "cheap bracket" and five 750GB drives, as they're not included.

or was "worth" something other than what you would pay?
