I see voice recognition input in the not so distant future----eliminates keyboards except in loud environments.

Interesting. But even voice recognition won't replace what writers do when they sit down to thoughtfullly write and edit something. A text recording of one's verbal input doesn't engage the same part of the brain as writing. Both have their place, and I agree, if/when voice recognition is advanced enough to be useful and ubiquitous, it'll open up a lot of unexplored possibilities.
