Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - heap1 - 07-30-2009 It would be nice if you could include customer reviews of the products OWC sells on its website. By looking at the customer reviews on sites like NewEgg and Amazon I feel I am able to make a more informed decision when I buy a technology item. Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - laarree - 07-30-2009 I'm glad you updated the archaic "Hard Drives", "Firewire" and "CD/DVD" tabs to the more useful and current "Internal Storage", "External Storage" and "CD/DVD/Blu-Ray" options along with their clarifying subheads. I think the Apple Store page is the limit for me. even that seems just a bit too busy, it was leaner a few years ago. Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - pipiens - 07-30-2009 CSS validation shows a few errors Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - deckeda - 07-30-2009 Yes, better delineation between top banner area and a given page's content. Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - mick e - 07-30-2009 Thems a lotta visuals, chief! Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - mrlynn - 07-30-2009 Just took a quick look: Definitely looks spiffier from a design standpoint, and navigation is quite snappy (via Safari 4). We'll see when I actually have to find something, but thumbs up! E-tailers understandably want to cram as much stuff (especially 'specials') onto their pages as possible, which inevitably makes for visual clutter. You've cleaned that up a tad, but how about getting a designer to work on a simple, more elegant interface that nonetheless still works? You don't really have to be MacMall or Tiger Direct to sell stuff. Mac users are partial to understatement, after all. /Mr Lynn Re: Other World Computing / Macsales.com site update - mick e - 07-30-2009 mick e wasn't going to say this but sometimes people need to hear things like this. A cleaned up header would do WONDERS. The top of the page looks like the floor of a frat house basement after a keg party.
