Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - Doc - 09-20-2009 Wow. The competition is stiff. ![]() Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - WHiiP - 09-20-2009 Greg wrote: An extra prize: Should Kikka win tonight, anyone who votes this evening gets one free instance of Excel help from yours truly! Hey . . . we get that anyway. We deserve something really special . . . like fresh baked wuppie treats! Rack up another vote for me! ! ! ! ! Good luck! Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - msglee - 09-20-2009 I'm in. Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - dmann - 09-20-2009 I just voted again and it says 99 votes? I hope I'm not hurting the cause! Kikka is now in the race for this week - September 20 through 26, and the new vote total is 125. Everybody keep voting!!! Edit: Ooops. I don't think Kikka is a "her." Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - JoeM - 09-20-2009 Just voted (257611). Good luck! I thought it was different dogs each week? Also, why are so many dogs from past weeks disqualified? Did they find out that they were juicing? Re: Pretty please, more wuppie votes? - MacGurl - 09-20-2009 It's a growing pool of dogs each week, in 12 qualifying weeks of voting. So many got DQ'd this past week because they were cheating on their votes! Once you make in in a weekly qualifying round then will you move on to the semi-final voting. It's less than a cute dog contest really, but is rather more of competition of who can promote the best. Quite a lot of "free" advertising for the sponsoring company though! So far many of the winners have been supposed shelter dogs, or were dogs who gained TV, internet, and print add promotion. I guess with 1 million dollars on the line (paid out at 33K a year) there is bound to be this sort of thing happening. I've just been grinding it out the old fashioned way, pretty much by self promoting on a few forums (one of them in particular is where the bulk of the votes are coming from), some Yahoo lists (including my own Yahoo list) and on my FB page. I was heartbroken last night when we lost by just 50 votes. I had been all over the internet last week pimping for votes and I was just worn out. So - we're back at it again this week and are up over 250 votes already! It's time a large breed dog win a weekly round - one who works and does something with his life, rather than just "being cute". Kikka and I went on our first official Therapy visit yesterday morning, at a nursing/care facility and he was great! This particular place will be a monthly gig for us. Thank you for voting! Kathy |
