The impression I got was that name has to be long enough that _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_fan is not a valid twitter name.

LOL That is kind of funny. Last season, Alpine Meadows chose to close 6 weeks earlier than normal with plenty of snow on the ground. As you can imagine, my forum was loaded with venomous commentary. I eventually did get contacted by their General Manager, with a request to "let's talk". I simply pointed out that we were a fan site and that they may do well to listen to their most loyal fans. They have definitely taken the hint, things are looking up for this season.
FWIW, I am careful to not use any of their trademarks or images on my site.
