Question... Does anyone know (I'll look at apple's site) but could we "technically" set the MacMINI on a computer desk and do video spanning... 17" LCD (Or bigger) for my wife to surf and the 32" HDTV to watch streaming videos... "at the same time"?

I rip movies to my mac, then stream them to my PS3 using MediaLink. Plus, the PS3 is a good Blu-Ray player (though it needs an add-on dongle to work with my universal remote).
I don't even have any games for it, just use it for movies.

I really like my Apple TV and wouldn't hesitate to buy another if it died. I have used it with and without being hacked. It's nice either way. I love watching HD podcasts on it.
Controlling it from the iPhone is a plus too.
Formats have never been an issue for me. Everything is streamed from my Mac where I want it.

Care to quote a source on that? It will output TO a 1080p set, but doesn't output 1080p video.

That's correct: It outputs a 1080p signal to a 1080p set.
And, as we both said, it doesn't support 1080p sources--720p24 max.

Again, care to quote a source on that. EVERYTHING I've read says the maximum output on an aTV is 720p.
