Then you have a year warranty. Hop to Canon's website and submit an online repair claim. They'll tell you if it's covered. I did this for a Rebel at work with the same problem. Easy peasy.

That's what the guys at work said. There's some vulnerability there that makes it easy to bend them without being rough or realizing you're bending them.
