Wow, this is not something I was expecting when I checked in today, I'm saddened to hear this. I didn't know anything more about minty than what the shared with us here, I always enjoyed his posts, and knew he was going through a hard time recently, but I never thought this would happen.

I'm just now finding out about 'Mint. How sad. I also remember when he joined DM 5 years ago, as I've been a very long time lurker and scant poster. I also shared PMs with Minty, especially after his crash and burn about a year ago, and again more recently when I thought he was losing focus with his rants.
I'll miss your personality, your wit, your warmth and your sincerity. I'm especially saddened by the fact the macbook he finally ordered for himself was never received. He never got to experience that opening fun of a new apple product before he left us.
I wish you the best view of every Cubs game and visions of The Daily Puppy pics and Apple ads forever. No more worries, 'mate. Godspeed. Semper Fi. I salute you.

WOW, I haven't been here in awhile and get hit with this. I got hooked on a Digital DJ forum where I have become the #1 Mac Fanboy over there, so i haven't been here as much (mac market share doubled there so worthwile - LOL).
Gotta make time for "old friends" too because you just never know....
Just looked and my first PM here was to Mint (I think) when I was at Macworld in 2006.

I used to have a top floor rent controlled apartment behind Ghiradelli that I could look out on Alcatraz. Dumbest thing I ever did to leave but the slumlord sure made life difficult. No it wasn't me, the Cub hat is mandatory particulary since I have a bad haircut. I have not been to the show yet and if my back does not feel better may miss it. Have fun tonight!!
