All of us who grew up there know about it. And used to make command runs there weekend nights in the summer. ... Side story: My sister was getting her Master's on the east coast. Her boyfriend knew she was stressed and working on her thesis research, comps, and all that. So he sent her a large package. It was a large Ted Drewe's concrete, packed in dry ice. Which had just finished sublimating when it arrived at her door. She said she knew right then she HAD to marry him. And they've been married 28 years now. We've taken our 8yo to 30 states and half a dozen countries and we've never found anything like City Museum anywhere else. It is a marvel, one you have to experience firsthand. You'd be making a huge mistake if you don't go. I wouldn't take a trip to Orlando to visit Disneyworld, but we'll probably return to St Louis in the next year or two just so we can revisit City Museum. It will be the highlight of your trip. |
