Seems like the reason carriers have everyone by the short hairs is because we don't want to have two "phone numbers," one for voice and one for text. Or am I overstating this? (So many lines of text in this post, can they all be questions? I think so?) My friends have quickly gotten used to the fact that I may text them from three different numbers. Most contact managers can easily handle multiple phone numbers. But you're right, there is an inclination not to complicate the process with more numbers. TextFree more than covers the occasional text for me. |
