I volunteered as a lector at my local Catholic church. The Pastor was a very cool, laid back guy who loved to chat with you during Mass, even up on the altar. During Mass, he whispered to me "I heard today is your Birthday. Happy Birthday! How old are you?" "33," I replied. Father's eyes suddenly turned downward. "Oh, 33 was a very bad year for Jesus." I had to control my laughter, lest the elderly Church ladies in the front pew shoot both of us with disapproving glances. Re: Age 33 is the happiest - lost in space - 03-30-2012 rob, that's a tough one. I had a friend who died at 33. Healthy, active runner. Finished his daily mile jaunt around the track where he was a high school coach and dropped dead, leaving a wife and two young daughters. davester wrote: You AND Steve!
