AP never saw the subpoena, it would have gone to the phone companies, right? I think it was all done without AP's knowledge, which is part of what has them so (justifiably) angry.

That's kind of the idea - for no one to know because its a secret subpoena.

That is the cute part, Holder IS informed that he is a subject of investigation, AP is not.....
