Yeah, but what a way to go!

And no matter how much you muse over the age difference and other excuses, you know there are gears turning deep inside that still make think, and you stare just a bit too long sometimes, eh?

There are some other considerations, like her GF wouldn't like it much.

If you post some frontal and orthogonal shots of her, we can assess your survival chances. The better the pics, the better the data.

Come on people, is this really the way a "what's an appropriate gift for a neighbor" thread has to go? Basically no help whatsoever, just a lot of horndog remarks which don't even make sense under the circumstances described.

So... TWO bottles of wine/dozens cookies, etc.

You give up too easy.

She has a GF? Great. They can share the wine. Problem solved.

This time of year, even if they don't drink wine, they can bring it along to a party and share it. Solid choice.

So, now that we have the obvious out of the way, brands, etc......

Cheap calculating bass thard that I am, I think alcoholic beverages make fine gifts but if I'm going to spend $20 I'll go for the big name liquoers like Baileys, Kahlua, Jaegermeister etc. so the value is clear (I don't think the average person will know the difference between a $6 bottle of wine and a $30 bottle of wine.)

Most women would appreciate a bottle of white wine over any of the liquors noted above.

Thanks, $tevie, I had the feeling this would happen, but thought I'd try it anyway. I guess old habits die hard. Hookers and Booze is one thing, but being nice to your neighbor is a bit different.
