And this is exactly the way they SHOULD be... But frequently aren't when we put ivory tower academics in leadership positions over community colleges. They see vocational programs as a threat to their "Everyone must go to a four year school" mandate (that they invented in their own mind).

Been reading reading a lot about this. Could of, should of, been handled better buy both parties involved.

A former co-worker of mine went to work for a "school" after she left our employer. They did various types of training, including GEDs, as I recall. They were strictly in it for the financial aid that they could get. My former colleague was laughing about how much money they got to try to make their students employable, and how few ever derived any benefit from the "training".
