Reminds me of the time I followed the car of a kid (and his girlfriend) who had just left our nearby high school. It was a cold winter day and he must have left a can of soft drink in his car. We entered a left turn lane at a light which was red. He opened the can which was mostly frozen, then opened his door a bit and set it on the road, I got out of my car, picked up the can and emptied what liquid there was onto his windshield, then I left the can between the hood and his windshield. The drink froze solid on his windshield so he ended up having to scrape it off. I was stuck behind him for an extra light change. He did put the can and it’s remaining frozen contents inside his car before pulling forward.

I knew a guy that ran up to a car to yell at the driver, and was considered to be a threat by the driver. The driver used his gun to shot the perceived threat coming at him. The guy was paralyzed for life, and the driver was found not guilty. I've never thought about going at someone in a car since.

I didn’t go at the driver, just the soda can. Besides, he was a high schooler just leaving school. No guns allowed on school property including in cars.

Which state? Sounds like a "shoot first ask second" sort of place.
I've definitely taken my chances in my time. Glad to be in a place where it happens only very rarely now. Last time was about a year and a half ago when a driver thought I wasn't proceeding quickly enough through an intersection (on bike) and thought it was best to nudge me with her car. ...I was trying to make a left turn, didn't know which direction she was going in so I didn't know how to get out of her way...but when you 'nudge' me with your car I have to treat you as a threat before proceeding. IMO, littering should have far more consequences than it does. If done from a vehicle, it should include points on the license.
Disposing of lit materials anywhere except in proper receptacles should result in an involuntary attempted arson. We have too many fires, loss of life and property due to people who just don't care.

In theory, yes.
In reality, the U.S. had to enact littering fines, convict- and volunteer-led trash pickup efforts, and a massive national anti-littering campaign in order to prevent the newly minted interstates from becoming public dumps.

I am more concerned about violence against each other and about our divided society than I am about some food wrappers on the sidewalk. Both bother me.
