Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - SteveO - 01-09-2021 About effing time they permanently banned him. Should've been done years ago. Same for the scurrilous traitors at FB...Zuckerberg enabled the 2016 debacle being in bed with Bannon's data mining, the Cambridge Analytica people. There needs to be a fine or charges or something. But no. Just crickets. I was on the Twitter last week and some guy was posting (was the link posted here, maybe?) how he goes on Parler (sic - why can't these idiots learn how to spell?) and trolls the Trumpers. It was hilarious. Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - NewtonMP2100 - 01-09-2021 .....banned.....du soleil........!!! Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - Lizabeth - 01-09-2021 I bet he’s feeling at “bit” castrated at the moment... Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - hal - 01-09-2021 Conclusion of the twtter reasoning: https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2020/suspension.html This determination is based on a number of factors, including: President Trump’s statement that he will not be attending the Inauguration is being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate and is seen as him disavowing his previous claim made via two Tweets (1, 2) by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, that there would be an “orderly transition” on January 20th. The second Tweet may also serve as encouragement to those potentially considering violent acts that the Inauguration would be a “safe” target, as he will not be attending. The use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters is also being interpreted as support for those committing violent acts at the US Capitol. The mention of his supporters having a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead that he plans to continue to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election. Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021. As such, our determination is that the two Tweets above are likely to inspire others to replicate the violent acts that took place on January 6, 2021, and that there are multiple indicators that they are being received and understood as encouragement to do so. Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - hal - 01-09-2021 and of course we lose great comedy like this: Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - Lemon Drop - 01-09-2021 So when future historians want to write about Trump, how do they get these tweets? Its the primary record of his presidency. .They are not in the public domain and never will be. Links to his tweets embedded in thousands of existing articles are now dead. This is nerdy me thinking out loud, not that important. I thought I recalled something about that a long time ago. I am probably imagining it. Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - Ted King - 01-09-2021 . Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - hal - 01-09-2021 it was bound to happen: ![]() I see that Trump is back to tweeting from the @POTUS account (grrrrrr) Re: Twitter Bans President Trump (Finally!!) - $tevie - 01-09-2021 Lemon Drop wrote:I am sure there are enough screen shots out there that will eventually be rounded up by folks and archived somewhere. |
