DinerDave has posted about conditions here in Greenfield, MA already a bit. Have to say the storm kept creeping a bit farther eastward each day of the forecast. A few days ago they were talking about 12 inches or more for this area and heavier closer to the coast. By yesterday evening they were only talking about 6-8 inches and just a bit farther west in Berkshire County less than 5".

I saw just a dusting on the ground when I went to bed about 3 AM this morning, there might be as much as 2 inches on the ground at my house now. Wind is starting to pick up a bit, so hard to tell if any more snow is falling or is is just blowing off roofs and trees, Supposed to end here by early evening.

But reports from farther east and south are definitely looking like a foot or more of snow.

Not much snow, however there is enough on the ground so that about a half hour ago, a snowmobile went zooming by (twice) by my house on Country Club Rd.

Dave, since your wife is entering a cookie contest, she is prolly pretty accomplished.
I'll PM you my address just in case we don't get plowed for a week.

I knew a girl back in college who couldn't walk anywhere, even after being plowed for a week.

between 22" - 26" depending. lots and lots of white-out conditions.

ended up with 9"-10" (Queens, NYC). Lots of drifting

I'll wait until daylight tomorrow before reminding myself (yet again) why I don't like shovelling snow. Meanwhile, the winds blow, the snows drift, the temp drops. Everything winter with a vengeance.

Yes it is! It’s about half of what we get on average over an entire season. I’ve seen 15” on one day followed up by 13” two days later. That one day in between made all the difference in the world as far as clearing snow. Getting 26” in one snowfall would be really, really tough to clear. My snowblower isn’t even tall enough to take in 26” in one bite.
