Strangely enough, there is no room for comments on Fox News coverage of the hearings.
None.

Bill Stepien claiming he was on "team normal" is a bit much.

Nobody "normal" is as MAGA as that guy

As stupid as Trump is, he's clever at keeping his fingerprints off of the obvious. So many go-betweens allowing for plausible deniability. He's good at crime. He is definitely mob trained.

He apparently believes that if he simply claims that he really does believe that the election was stolen from him, that nothing can be done to him legally. The big problem for him is that he told us all his scheme back in July of 2020 ...

It never works when you tell people up front how you are planing to cheat.

Well, he was ready to do it in 2016 too. At one of the debates, they asked a (seemingly simple) question - would you recognize the result of the 2016 election, win or lose?

Clinton said Of course. Trump said he wasn't ready to make that commitment.

From Steve's Yahoo link:

During a break in the hearing, Fox aired analysis from pundits, including former State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf, who said that Monday’s testimony from aides shows that Trump gave his supporters “a false sense of hope” and “lit this match” that led to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

“We saw a portrait of a president today who was increasingly at odds with reality,” Harf said.

Gosh, she sounds accusatory. Over to you, Hannity. Carlson et al.

I also thought it noteworthy that Fox News lost viewership to MSNBC last Thursday night.

BTW, I had to take it on the road this morning and was listening to the hearing on NPR.

I found it amusing when they were playing clips of Trump blathering about all the "fraud" he knew about - NPR felt that they couldn't have people tuning in and hearing all these claims cold, so they kept doing brief voice overs:

This election was stolen! (It was not.) There was a truck from New York that delivered 8,000 Biden votes to Pennsylvania in the middle of the night! (This is not true.) This Dominion Voting System - they can flip a switch and change 10,000 Trump votes to Biden! (No they can't.) ...and so on.

favorite line stolen from twitter:

Jason Miller, Trump campaign adviser, said “Mayor Giuliani” had too much to drink on election night 2020. He was “definitely intoxicated,” Miller said. Rudy Giuliani spoke to Trump several times that night and urged Trump to claim election was being stolen.

BIGGEST TAKEAWAY SO FAR: Rudy was drunk and all the sober people told Trump he lost and drunk Rudy told Trump he won and Trump listened to the drunk.

It's being noted online that Barr felt that Trump was dangerously inept, yet he did nothing about it.
