How about a "best free item" and "worst free item" award? It might be fun and will encourage some really good stuff to come out discourage some really bad stuff from coming out! Maybe a "I can't believe someone took that?!" award too.
Maybe people with bigger, impractical to ship stuff can include their zip code. I might have some stuff good stuff but I know it won't be worth it to ship but I know there are a lot of people near me. I also get kinda lazy about shipping stuff correctly.

I wish somebody was already doing this, sending cool stuff to folks, not even charging for shipping, swearing them to secrecy.
