So sorry to hear of your loss, but how comforting to know that Gretchen was in the best possible place for her last moments. My condolences.

I always feel the heartbreak when someone loses such a special ”person“ because isn't any beloved pet a person in our lives? So much a part of your life, so much giver of joy… it really breaks me up because I know the feeling.

Please, if you can, save another poochie from euthanasia and explain to it that it's getting saved up love from Gretchen. It will help to mend your sadness, I'm sure.

Best wishes,

GeneL

Going thru this just two days ago with my Siberian Husky Cody, I certainly still feel your pain. My thoughts are with you through this difficult time. In time the positive memories will prevail.

Our dog had to be put down almost 18 years ago and it still hurts. My condolences.

My college buddy lost his beloved dog, Lena, this week.

I'm sure Gretchen is having a fantastic romp in the great beyond:

update- my wife was holding her while we were waiting for the vet to call, and she quietly died in my wife's arms. So she was completely at peace when she died, in the loving arms of her human Mommy. Somehow that makes it a bit easier....

Good dog, Gretchen.
