I have only bought lottery tickets a couple times in my life (I don't gamble, either) but I am going to buy some right now. I tried to do it through the new IL website that allows you to buy tickets online, but the system is overloaded and not working. DM Re: Fingers crossed that NOBODY wins Mega Millions lottery tonight - MikeF - 03-30-2012 I'm thinking about buying some tickets... Still got a little time left... That would mean that a lot of people bought tickets with sequential numbers, like: 1,2,3,4,5-1 1,2,3,4,5-2 ... 52,53,54,55,56-45 52,53,54,55,56-46 Re: Fingers crossed that NOBODY wins Mega Millions lottery tonight - AllGold - 03-31-2012 I'm surprised the jackpot hasn't increased from $640M. I heard on the noon news that tickets were selling at a rate of 14 million per hour. I would like to win the lottery but given the choice (which of course I do NOT have), I would prefer something a lot smaller. $20M is plenty and I could really do without all the publicity of the largest jackpot ever. However, I suspect there will be multiple winners so maybe if there are 10 or so different winners it will dilute the publicity to a tolerable amount. Not that I would turn down 3/4 of a billion though. |
