Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - trisho. - 10-09-2006 Good one Seacrest. Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - ho'ard - 10-09-2006 [quote elmo3]Love it, love it, love it! From the Starbucks Gossip page, one of the responses: - - - - - Posted by: Coffee Drinker in Seattle | Sep 8, 2006 1:45:49 AM You know what amuses me is how the majority of Starbucks employees think they are the depressed little Gothic boys and girls, the trendy little children of "Metrosexuality" (which really is a queer way of saying Gay), the purveyors of 'wisdom' only the truly 'downtrodden' 'know'. When in essence the majority of them are nothing but assclowns and assjockeys. If charging outrageous prices for a blasted cup of coffee or tea isn't enough to inflate your ego then remove the Half and Half and other condiments from your tables. In fact hell remove all the condiments from the table and charge the customers for each and every little thing they want in there. Hell instead of the $10.82 for 2 (TWO, DUECE, DUEX, NI WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL TWO) drinks isn't outrageous enough think how much you can charge now...damn like maybe $24.75 shoot maybe even $39.99 just for the 2 drinks. Or wait maybe here is an idea. How about the customers are trying to say that the Superinflated ego's of the Starbucks employees aren't actually that intelligent or maybe even lack the proper hand eye coordination to make a drink that is actually palatable to the customer. Maybe Starbucks employees should stop makinig racially intoned comments by labeling drinks 'ghetto latte's' (seriously be honest everyone here first thought and still thinks the customers being referred to are black people). That is messed up.? Why is it necessary to sneer down at the kids working at Starbucks? We were all 20 once, and all had some crappy retail or service job, and all had some degree of attitude so we could get through the day with a pretend bit of self esteem. Elmo, you really can't help but suck , can you? Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - elmo3 - 10-09-2006 [quote h']Why is it necessary to sneer down at the kids working at Starbucks? I'm not. I'm commenting on the Starbucks kids that are snot-nose busybodies who think THEY know better than corporate, and by God they're going to make sure that nobody gets anything THEY don't think someone should get. Never mind corporate policies; those corporate policies are just WRONG, so say these kids, and by God these kids are going to ignore the policies and do what these kids insist is right. For $7.55/hour. Yeah, they know more than the billion-dollar corporate senior management. We were all 20 once, and all had some crappy retail or service job, and all had some degree of attitude so we could get through the day with a pretend bit of self esteem. Really? I never had a crappy retail job. And gee, regarding working, my attitude was that you should either do it well or don't do it at all. As far as taking it out on the customer...well, I've never had a retail job. But you're making a bunch of excuses for your behavior--just like these $7.55/hour Starbucks kids. And there is no excuse for it. "Waaaaaah, they're making us refill the milk pitcher! That's WORK!" Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine. If these kids (a) had a work ethic, and (b) the brains to work smart and not hard, they'd realize they have one of the easiest jobs on the planet. Elmo, you really can't help but suck , can you? Coming from you, that's a badge of honor. Now, go whine somewhere else about how those damn customers made you work and how unfair it was. Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - guitarist - 10-09-2006 longest discussion of a non-issue ever. Bravo. Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - buggerd - 10-09-2006 I go to Starbucks with my own used "Starbucks" cup. I have a free glass of milk, then I steal sometimes over a hundred of those little packets of "Equal", "Splenda" and brown sugar. Sometimes I fill my whole bag with them, and napkins too. Do you know how much those stupid "Equals" cost in the supermarket? In the East Village once, a real ghetto person came out of "Starbucks" with a few of those nice stainless steel half&half and milk containers. They were still full of milk and half&half, spilling all over the inside of his jacket, where he had them. "Spill out the milk and I'll give you $5 for them", I said. I still have them, they are very nice, they keep my milk cool. I don't have any moral dilemma about anything. So you are agreeing that by your own standards the source you site as part of your rebuttal is unreliable ? Do I have that right ? Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - pixelzombie - 10-09-2006 [quote Carthaigh] 2. Why does Starbuck's think the practice is okay? What do you think their profit margin is on a $4 latte? It is frikking coffee! If you want to know how much coffee should cost try making it yourself at home (hint: it wont cost $4). you obviously haven't made a home version of any starbucks drink, once you have tried to duplicate one of their products at home you will find that they offer a fair price for a good product.....if the profit margins were as high as you think they are, BK, Wendys, mickey dees, and every other fast food establishment would be wanting a piece of that pie... Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - SeattlePhotog - 10-09-2006 Those of you who so ardently support taking Starbucks "free" products: Do you also dump the entire basket of "free" mints into your purse at restaurants? I mean, after all, they are FREE. Might as well take 'em all. Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - SeattlePhotog - 10-09-2006 [quote Baby Tats]Herbie goes to the all you can eat buffet, but only gets one plate- It's unethical. Herbie goes to a fast food restaurant, but never refills his sodas- It's unethical. Herbie goes to Starbucks, but never uses more than 0.5 oz milk- It's unethical. Herbie goes to the public bathroom, but only uses one sheet to wipe- Which would account for the smell. BT I never said any of that, Did I, BT? You're just going out of your way to look like a fscking idiot. You don't have to try so hard, though...we're already with you there. 1) All-you-can-eat buffet. So you're admitting that Starbucks, to you, is all-you-can-drink. They aren't, but that explains why you support stealing their milk. 2) Free refills of soda? So now you're saying that Stabucks gives free refills of milk? All-you-can-steal? Good for you. 3) I've said REPEATEDLY...which makes me suspcious again that you are just butt-dumb...that I wouldn't take 19 ounces of milk to fill a 20-ounce Venti cup. You would...you've made it clear that you have no ethics, and that you support this abuse of the system. We get it. 4) Nice toilet reference, s#it-for-brains. Re: The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response - MacGurl - 10-09-2006 If one then the other *must* follow? That's very illogical.... |
