Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - Carnos Jax - 03-30-2009 Come on Dakota man. That's too easy. He nailed some valid points. I've seen you before just dismiss rational arguments for no reason. Come on brotha, don't fail us here... You just have to get used to reading my "elementary/junior high school level" posts for some time to come. If I wasn't making any headway I wouldn't be setting you guys off like this. I have been around forums long enough to know that an outburst like this is a way to distract from the real debate, like what Obama said on his web site when nobody was asking questions. Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - Carnos Jax - 03-30-2009 "If I wasn't making any headway I wouldn't be setting you guys off like this." False to think you're making headway, and you're assuming that somehow you're 'setting us off'. It's rather simple, you make a statement, someone responds. Someone else makes a statement, you respond. Nothing more than dialogue. Furthermore, you're trying to distract by using the descriptive 'outburst'. How is what I said any different than the message others having been giving you on this forum? Please feel free to correct me, but your response seems to suggest a certain level (again, for the lack of a better word, sorry) of conceit on your part. I wasn't even sure who he was responding to. Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - Mac1337 - 03-30-2009 Carnos Jax wrote: You are right on every count. Is it now time to discuss tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas? Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - davester - 03-30-2009 Dakota wrote: Half a page of nothing. Try again after you have regained your composure. You are a fool. You seem to think there is an emotional component to arguments here (hence your frequent "I am a victim posts"). I pointed out the obvious falsehoods in your post in the hope that you might get an inkling of why you are wrong all the time. My error. You are immune to rational discussion or criticism. It would have been nice if my post had given you a little enlightenment, but sadly that is not the case. If I lost my composure over your silly posts I would be a sad case indeed. Look around Dakota. If there is nobody to speak of that agrees with you and large numbers of people who constantly criticize what you say, do you really think that it is everybody else that is wrong? Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - Lux Interior - 03-30-2009 Question: What is the bigger expense for a company; labor or taxes? Question: Where is the cheap labor? Question: If the US lowered the corporate tax rate to zero, would it offset the benefit of cheap labor? Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - JoeH - 03-30-2009 Lux Interior wrote: And would it matter? Lower the tax and the companies will still go for the cheap labor to maximize profits. It's not like they are trying to lower costs to a limit, instead they are trying to lower costs as far as they can. If they could, they would pay zero for labor too. Re: Those jobs aren't coming back-Now he tells us - swampy - 03-30-2009 Nobody's talking about jobs that are leaving the "industrial north" where inflated Union wages and entitlements jack the cost of labor out of sight. More power to the companies that start and keep jobs in the USA in right to work states and produce goods at about half the labor costs of Union shops. Let the Detroit auto industries go belly up. The union bosses are no less greedy than the CEOs on Wall Street. Of course Obama's so in bed with the unions that he'd never consider capping their pay now, would he? |
