A bit late to the party here, but add my vote to the "just let it end" side. I'm pretty old school when it come to anything Star Trek and I never really got into anything post TOS besides STNG (although I was always hoping that someone would eject "Counselor Cleavage" out an airlock.)
I lost interest rather quickly in Voyager (didn't that thing have landing gear or is that just a deluded and foolish false memory of mine?) and Enterprise just seemed a little to gung-ho for my tastes, although I am a bit tempted to try that one again once I forgive them for putting ears on the Andorians.
It's probably just since it's the one I grew up with, but nothing else really ever seemed to capture the spirit of the original series.
And besides, could you really ever imagine Janeway yelling "Khan!"
