billb,

I didn't start the post because Christie is a Republican. He was not a factor is my question, except as "Governor."

And if you want to whine about the flag, start another post. It'll probably be a good one.

*(:>* Actually I think billb was making a point about Grace's ranting & whining  Especially about something
that is clearly moot TongueBig Grin New Jersey did it """Their Way"""

Washingtonians are not in charge of NJ *(:>* . . . me thinks :boink:

Is that the New Jersey flag he put at half-staff? If so, then nevermind.

But if it's the US flag? I believe, my friend, that is the flag of us all.

Since when do you decide what people want to discuss? Or what they find interesting? Or what they care about?

You stated your opinion that you think he gesture was fine. The rest of your commentary involves personal insults to me, and it's getting old.

Knock it off.

Playing the victim card is too silly :banghead: and it is clearly a fail *(:>*

Rudie I'm sorry that you don't understand the American custom of flying the flag at half-staff. If you find the tradition childish, and using this custom for a person like Whitney Houston is completely outside that tradition, you most definitely do not understand the custom. So perhaps refraining from comment, when you lack perspective, is the better course?

OK, let's say a DEMOCRAT governor of NJ did this.

think there'd be outcry from the RIGHT?

yeah, there would.

Perhaps we missed the point decay, this celebration of this persons life was going to happen
no matter who was governor and no matter what """someone elses state does""" and no matter how many
cites someone cares to post.

In my experience I have learned life does not always go according to the rules or to my plans *(:>* ymmv.

yeah, there would.

Not from the right, but from the most idiotic element of the right.

I'm not seeing an "outcry" here though-- is there somewhere else an "outcry" is going on? Sounds entertaining. Link?

And furrdder more your perspective is narrow minded, jaded and skewed. The heros and warriors
of this world come from every walk of life> They are farmers, they are developers, they are journalists,
they go to MIT, Harvard, Stanford, they write the books and songs, they sing the songs, they have broken the bonds of domestic slavery, they do not only reside in our military.

The list is huge.

You write about dogma and rules Grace ~!~ I am ashamed as an earthling
that you miss the holistic observations. You redundantly quote archaic points of view with little passion
or original thought. I suggest you consider being a trend setter, moving forward unrestricted by dogma. Or re-read 1984 because you are projecting an Orwellian point of view imho *(:>*
