It creates plenty of IT jobs. Hospitals and medical centers will need people to convert documents. Networking professionals.

The electronic medical records system works very well at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. The communication between the specialist I see and my primary care doctor is instantaneous and flawless. I have had no problem whatsoever with the system. The government has not interfered one whit.

Without being too cynical, let's just hope most of the jobs aren't offshored or to bring in more H1-B visa holders.
