In a voicemail left with an unidentified US Senator, Giuliani asked the senator to "object to every state and kind of spread this out a little bit like a filibuster,” according to a line from the voicemail quoted in the indictment.

I heard maybe not prison but home confinement with an ankle monitor plus fines. The reason was that prison would be too hard for the Secret Service to watch him.
Nothing says it has to be his home. How about a non-air-conditioned single-wide mobile home along the Texas border (there will soon be lots of razor wire available to surround it)

Initially I thought "Well, I'm sure the governor be tripping over himself to make it happen" ....but a quick google search reveals that Trump was mad that the Georgia governor for not assisting his efforts and funded a challenger who failed.
What kind of lock does the current governor have on his seat?

DeSantis slammed the outcome of the indictment in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, shortly after the news broke.
“While I’ve seen reports, I have not read the indictment,” DeSantis wrote. “I do, though, believe we need to enact reforms so that Americans have the right to remove cases from Washington, DC to their home districts.”
He added, “Washington, DC is a ‘swamp’ and it is unfair to have to stand trial before a jury that is reflective of the swamp mentality.”

I think juries follow the law and the rulings of the court. This isn’t mid-1950’s (and earlier) southern justice.
