I remember the Howdy Doody show, Captain Video and The Great Foodini.

38

That 45-64 age group is twice as big (20 year span) as the other groups.
I'd like to see how that age range is split.

My gut tells me that the biggest demographic here is in the 35-44 range. Or that it's at least equal to the 45-54 range.

I could be wrong though.

A lot of our parents got lucky in 1952. :-)
And lucky again in 1953 at pop-out.

I recall the original star wars.
Huddled around the tall (shortwave)radio in the living room listening to the beep heard 'round the world (Sputnik) and also my grandfather's fishing boat sinking on the Grand Banks (they got home ).
Drive by the classroom every morning I was in when JFK was anounced shot.

Almost old enough to begin drawing Social Security! Scary!!

I was in college when the original Star Trek was on - and I remember when our family got our first TV set.

I went to school with Sarah Rush.

36 right here, right now. I had the BSG toys, but that was after they child safed the plastic missiles, so we couldn't fire them. Nuts! Boba Fett was the same way. I couldn't fire his missile pack. :cursin:

For some reason I find it comforting to be in the largest age group!

54 & I remember when Sputnik was launched, as well as all landmarks that have occurred since.

BTW, I was in college when the original Battlestar Galactia premiered & popped my 1st recreational Quaalude that evening. It didn't make the series any better.

55. I've been getting AARP stuff for years. I keep waiting to find a way to use my card to get a discount. Hasn't happened yet...

Of course; the deck is stacked!
The 45-to-64 range spans 20 years! 8-)
The other four groupings span only 10 years (or less.)

If you break that 45-to-64 group into two ten year groupings to match the others, 45-to-54 and 55-to-65, then the 35-to-44 would most likely be the largest group.

I'm old enough to have laughed hysterically in my college dorm at the pilot for the original BSG series, when the "Cylons were 5 microns and approaching !". And old enough to have seen the premiere of "2001" in my home town.
