Re: Where is the President-elect? - lafinfil - 11-23-2008 I had to get a replacement birth certificate about 5 years ago as the original no longer exists - pretty standard stuff Went to the health department and gave them my info and got the replacement which also did not have an embossment nor did it have my now long deceased doctors signature. I feel cheated, but apparently the government agencies that issued me various official documents based on the embossment lacking no dead doctor signature birth certificate had no problem with it. Re: Where is the President-elect? - swampy - 11-23-2008 Last time I got a copy. I wrote the County Health office and they sent me a black waxy document (some kind of photo copy, perhaps from microfiche?). It had all the information including my mother's signature, the doctors signature and an embossed seal. Re: Where is the President-elect? - kanesa - 11-23-2008 Obama's birth certificate conspiracy is just a racist attempt to disqualify him. No white presidential candidate or president-elect has had to prove his citizenship. >His mother was a US citizen and he was born in the United States.< Re: Where is the President-elect? - swampy - 11-23-2008 The citizenship question was raised in both the McCain (born in Panama) and Goldwater (born in Arizona which was a territory at the time) cases. They are both white. What's your point, Kenesa? Why do the liberals always want to play the race card? Re: Where is the President-elect? - mikeylikesit - 11-23-2008 Swampy seems to be suggesting that since she can't get the Supreme Court to award the election her way this time she would not be above finding a technicality in the law to deprive the majority of voters (53%) from having their choice for President to actually be President. How democratic of her. Re: Where is the President-elect? - swampy - 11-24-2008 "A technicality in the law". I'm getting the feeling that the law doesn't mean a thing to you Mikey. You probably feel that laws were made to be broken. Without laws we would have anarchy. Those who disobey the laws are criminals. We have ways to change the laws. But a law is a law is a law until We the People go through the process to change it. Nobody has changed the 'natural born citizen' law. If Obama is not a natural born citizen it would bring a crisis, but we can survive the crisis because the same document that declares presidential eligibility also gives us the framework for replacing a president. Surely Obama knows the law. If he has, in any way tried to skirt the law, he should be prosecuted to the utmost. If he can satisfy the doubters, then on with the coronation. I'd be the last one to deny BHO his ascendancy to the throne, but I'll be the first to stand up and defend anyone's right to question his legitimacy in a court of law. It's the great American way, Mikey. comma added Re: Where is the President-elect? - Dennis S - 11-24-2008 His mother was a citizen. It doesn't matter where he was born. Re: Where is the President-elect? - kanesa - 11-24-2008 OK swampy Where was Obama born? I have never seen another birth certificate from another country for Obama. Is there one and where could I view it? I don't know why I am asking you these questions after you posted an article that listed "Techdude" as an expert in documents but please show me something concrete that even suggests that Obama was not born in Hawaii. Re: Where is the President-elect? - Dennis S - 11-24-2008 "Without laws we would have anarchy. Those who disobey the laws are criminals." That would be George W. Bush. Re: Where is the President-elect? - $tevie - 11-24-2008 I can't believe this thread is still going. But then again, I can't believe anyone is still trying to claim Obama is not legally qualified to be president. I think we are seeing Sore Loserness being taken to new heights. |
