Re: 7 days remaining until Obama disqualification - lafinfil - 11-26-2008 I have a hard time believing that the birth certificate is real based on an interweb posting. As a naturally born citizen I demand that the US Government fly me to Hawaii so I may see this for myself. Re: 7 days remaining until Obama disqualification - TomFromFlorida - 11-26-2008 I wish everyone that is noting "so called facts" would research what they are writing. First, in 1961 when Obama was born one would NOT be a natural-born citizen if only one parent was a citizen and the child was NOT born on U.S. soil. Second, the officials from Hawaii did NOT say Obama's birth certificate says he was born in Hawaii. They didn't say he was. All they said was that there is a birth certificate on file. Hawaii will provide a Certificate of Live Birth for someone born outside of the U.S. if the birth was registered in Hawaii. A Certificate of Live Birth is what Obama provided, although it has been proven to be a forgery. Third, Obama's grandmother stated on tape (2 priests have signed affidavits) that she was in the delivery room when Obama was born in Kenya. Fourth, there is a document that states Obama (then Barry Soetoro) was a citizen of "Indenesia" when he was in school there. Only citizens were allowed to go to school at that time, because they were at war. Fifth, Obama traveled on a "Indenesian" passport in 1996. No records of him traveling on a U.S. passport have been found. None of this says for sure that Obama is NOT a Natural-born citizen. They do, however, raise the question that he may not be one. When in doubt show the proof and get it over with. But, Obama is fighting release of the document. My quetion would be Why? Re: 7 days remaining until Obama disqualification - TomFromFlorida - 11-26-2008 Ted King, You accurately state "The Director of the Health Department for the state of Hawaii and the reistrar of vital statistics for the State of Hawaii have personally verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate. " The statement does NOT say Obama was born in Hawaii. If he was given a Certificate of Live Birth (which is the forgery he provided) then Hawaii would have his Kenyan birth certificate.
